Privacy policy
Draft — check it against what you actually collect before launch. Replace the items in [brackets].
[Business or trading name] (“we”) runs vantri.co.uk and is the data controller for your information. Contact: [contact email]. ICO registration number: [number].
What we collect
- Your email address and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password. We never store your actual password.
- Your username, which is shown publicly on the leaderboard and on win images you choose to share.
- If a friend invited you, which account invited you, and the first website or campaign that brought you to Vantri.
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or over, and when you gave it.
- Your play credit balance and game history (bets, results and fairness seeds).
- Basic technical data our hosting provider records, such as IP addresses in server logs.
- Anonymous visit statistics: which pages are viewed and which site or campaign sent the visit. We don’t use cookies for this or store your IP address. Instead we keep a one-way code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so we can count visitors without being able to identify or follow you.
Why we use it
To run your account and the games (contract), to keep the site secure and stop abuse (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Cookies
We use one cookie, vantri_session, to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the site to work, so we don’t ask for consent for it. We also save a few settings in your browser’s storage (such as instant bet, hotkeys, and the invite code you arrived with) so the site works the way you left it. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Who we share it with
Our hosting and database provider, Render (render.com), stores data for us. Data may be processed outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
While your account is open, and for up to [12 months] after you close it, unless the law requires longer.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing [contact email]. If you’re unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
